Special texts

Some of the translatable texts from Lynx launcher contain special control sequences or placeholder that define how the text will look like inside the app.
Theses texts should not be changed and are important in order to look correct. Some examples are:
 • Some Text: This is a formatting information for the text to be underlines, bold or italic
 • Swipe %1$s to show all Applications: The "%1$s" text is a placeholder that will be replaced by some other text or number. In this example e.g. "left" or "right"
 • \n This text tells the applications that there is a line break.

If you are unsure about a certain text and want to know, how it should be translated, just write an email or take a look at the already existing translation on crowdin.

Request translations

You can also request for Lynx Launcher to be translated into a new language or to add a new language for translation on crowdin. Just let us know in an email or on crowdin.

Please note: This will not guarantee that the requested translation will be added to Lynx Launcher. Which language will be added depends on how many of the texts have already been translated and how many people can benefit from this translation.
